Here’s some quotes from those who were SPHERE trained last week:
“Last week at the training, I was reminded again of my love for helping those who are hurting all over the world, especially those without a home or who have been affected by disasters.”
“Thank you again for a truly life-changing week. We look forward to being able to [use] the tools you’ve helped us put in our toolbox.
“All I know is that whenever I see people hurting I have a huge burden to help.”
“Thank you for your time, wisdom, and encouragement this past week.
And another shared, “Thank you for the wonderful week of training last week! [This helped] to open our eyes to [see the needs] among refugees.”
The SPHERE Project is a voluntary initiative that brings a wide range of humanitarian agencies together around a common aim – to improve the quality of humanitarian assistance and the accountability of humanitarian actors to their constituents, donors and affected populations. The SPHEREHandbook, Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response, is one of the most widely known and internationally recognized sets of common principles and universal minimum standards in life-saving areas of humanitarian response.
If your organization would like to organize and participate in the above training, please contact CGR for further information and available dates. The certification program features 28 hours of training usually over four to five days, and can be divided over weekends. CGR also offers humanitarian training on customized topics to your context or group’s interest in day seminars.
