GLOBAL HUNGER RELIEF.

Worldwide — 1 in 7 people in the world goes hungry each day. CGR is committed to being a part of alleviating this terrible problem, together, we can make a difference!

Our world is gripped by a hunger crisis—each year, 3.1 million children die because of poor nutrition. We’re challenging Canada to raise $1 million by the end of 2021 to help the almost 800 million people who are currently undernourished.

It’s unfathomable in the age of discovery, technology and advancement that our world suffers from a food crisis—in some places more than others. The Horn of Africa alone has been hit with 42 droughts since 1980. In 2011, it’s been called the worst drought in 60 years. More than 12.4 million people are in need of food. Many times, by the time help, reaches them, they require therapeutic feeding in order to regain their health and be able to feed themselves.

It’s been said that “charity begins at home.” Canada is considered to be one of the richest countries.

Last year, Canadian Global Response embarked on an initiative called the “Global Hunger Challenge” with a goal to raise $1-million. Because of our generous donors, every dollar given to the Global Hunger Fund will be used 100%. In other words: This is ONE project that donations are "dollar-in, dollar-out" (the full donation goes to the GHF).

Help us fight hunger, by giving access to food, the basic necessity of life. Any amount may seem insignificant, but its value and impact are much greater in many parts of the world where $5.00 can sustain a hungry individual for one day.
