HURRICANE RELIEF

When the hurricane season arrives, we are prepared to work together with our partners to assist the people impacted in Canada and outside of Canada. CGR's commitment is to help the affected people most efficiently and quickly as possible.

DISASTER RELIEF.

OUTLINE.

Hurricanes are among the most powerful and destructive natural phenomena. On average, 12 tropical storms, 6 of which become hurricanes, form over the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, or the Gulf of Mexico during the hurricane season, which runs from June 1 to November 30 each year.

Canadian Global Response stands ready to respond alongside partners on-site, actively monitoring the destruction during and after each hurricane season to respond as quickly as possible by providing support to the affected areas.

Volunteers and partners on-site assess the situation to determine needs and bring adequate relief based on the SPHERE: Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response framework.

One way we help along with our partners and volunteers on-site is by providing food, working on flood cleanup and repairing homes for impacted families.

Your gifts to the 2022 Hurricane Response Fund are vital to these relief efforts!

When you support our DISASTER RELIEF Projects we are able to:

Mobilize people and resources quickly.

Help clean up and rebuild the areas affected.

Provide clean water and food when is need it.
